Galina was one of three bolonkas born to one of the 3 Russian girls who arrived to us already bred and is co-owned with Wendy Culpepper and Megan Gregory. She is small, and  is only 6 pounds , but loving and full of love and energy and quite able to hold her own in a house of larger havanese. Colorwise she would be considered a tri-color inasmuch as she has black, brown and tan in her coat.

Galina's dam is: Ladushki Toska and the Sire: LADUSHKI CHERUVIMTCHIC

Galina was conceived in Russia and born here in the United States. Currently she lives with her favorite humans, Wendy and Megan (my daughter and granddaughter)  and Buster, a neutered male and Ahavapicaro Pebbles,  our other bolonkas who lives in South Carolina. She is a petite, show stopper and model of doggie fashions.
Galina was bred to Asa and on  delivered 3 little bolonka puppies: 2 females and 1 male.  Mackenzie will be remaining at APK. Peter and Gabriella aka Gaby are in their forever homes. We learn as we go along, right? Presently, it appears there is a short haired gene in bolonkas much as there is in havanese and other breeds. We first discovered it a couple of years ago. Since then breeders in Germany have discovered it. In every other respect they are bolonkas with every other characteristic including 'blowing coat' rather than shedding as we think of it with regular short haired dogs. Gaby's coat will probably look like Aggie's being composed of red, gold and black colors and remaining as incredibly soft as it is today but not the large looping curls we see in the standard bolonka.
Peter  had one testicle that refused to descend and stay there, making him ineligible for the breeding program. An adult now, he lives happily with the Hohne family in Washington and weighs between 9 and 10 lbs. He is neutered.
